Yoga is an ancient tradition dedicated to develop mind, body and spirit. The tradition of yoga, (union) originated in India over 5000 years ago and is practiced throughout the world.

Hatha yoga is the yoga most practice, as it focuses on the physical postures(asanas) linked through breath (pranayama) to energize the subtle channels (nadis). The translation of the word Hatha is Ha (sun) and Tha (moon) or the balance of the sun and moon or pairs of opposites.

The practice of Hatha yoga, breathing and meditation promote well being, inner and outer strength and flexibility to create freedom in both mind and body. When our bodies are free from pain and illness, we begin to feel rejuvenated; our spirit is replenished, cultivating a sense of harmony.

Yoga is a non competitive, focused practice on yourself leading to balance in life.

Style of Yoga Classes


Vinyasa Flow
Poses (asanas) are linked together by body and breathe creating a rhythmic, flowing sequence of postures. This type of yoga can enhance your cardiovascular system.

Iyengar style
Physical and mental awareness is developed through the practice of precise alignment in each pose. This style of yoga is aided by props to help the student move safely into each pose.

ABOVE CLASSES ARE MULTI LEVEL. Beginners are always welcome. Variations are provided depending on your level of experience.

Restorative Yoga
Developed by B.K.S. Iyengar. Restorative yoga is a supported practice with the use of props. Excellent if fatigued, over stressed, and/or grieving. Think of restorative yoga as active relaxation or heaven on a bolster.

Yoga for Seniors
You are never too old to embark on a yoga experience. Separate classes are offered to the young at heart. Yoga in Chairs and Gentle Hatha Yoga on mats.

Prenatal Yoga
Yoga classes are designed specifically for the mom to be. Class is focused on breathing techniques, specific poses and meditation that may be used during labor, delivery and long after. Moms to be, feel nurtured and develop a special bond with one another.

Yoga for Kids of all ages.
Yoga helps develop flexibility, self esteem, muscle tone, concentration, creativity and relaxation.
Infants from 5 weeks to crawlers
Walkers and Toddlers

Learn techniques by singing and doing to help your baby relax sleep better, stretch and improve digestion. The class is fun for your baby and a wonderful bonding experience for you and your baby. Meet other parents and share your experiences, ideas and helpful hints.
Classes are based on Itsy Bitsy yoga training

HA-THA KIDS Teacher Training will take place on August 20 to 22, 2010.

Other Kids classes offered at schools and individually. Kids want to have fun and one way is to sing, yoga dance, and drum and try various poses through games, stories and an actual yoga practice.

A variety of classes are developed for Pre-K, elementary age and teens.

Leslie is also experienced with children with special needs and has taught groups and individually.


Corporate Classes and Yoga for Teachers

Leslie brings her experience in the corporate world to her yoga mat. As a quality manager, she taught yoga and meditation as team building exercises to other managers. The benefits to managers, employees and teachers are phenomenal.

Home Practice
Make yoga part of your lifestyle.
Leslie will design a 1 hour home practice class to explore when you are not in class. The practice is based on your specific needs, physical issues and includes meditation asana practice and deep relaxation. Leslie provides the home practice sequence in writing with a follow up practice once you have implemented the home practice into your life.

Leslie will come and teach at your next birthday party whether you are under 10 or well beyond 10!
